Academies

Total Swimming Academies deliver its Learn to Swim programme, The Steve Parry Academy, across centres in Merseyside and Scotland. Our Academies provide focused, quality swimming lessons based on the Amateur Swimming Association’s Learn to Swim Framework (and SASA). If you now which centre you are interested in then Book Now. Our swimming lessons last for 30 minutes each and are based on a ratio of 1 teacher to 6 students, with teachers in the water during early development stages. Our pools provide a high quality learn to swim environment at an affordable price, and are located at schools, leisure centres and hotels.

With Olympic medalist Steve Parry behind everything we deliver, our Learn to Swim programme has been formulated to develop swimming skills in people of all ages, regardless of their starting ability. We have swimming lessons available for children and adults in Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton and the Wirral and in Scotland we run swimming lessons in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leith, East Dunbartonshire, and North Lanarkshire. 

Total Swimming Academies are able to deliver the following programmes: Swim a Song (adult & child); Pre-School lessons (ages 3-4); children's swimming lessons (ages children's lessons (from aged 3 1/2 upwards); teenage only sessions; and adult only sessions.  The benefits of learning to swim with Total Swimming include:

• Inclusive: We teach all ages and abilities from 3 years and above

• Low Ratios: Only 6 children in each class

• Teachers in the water: Especially with the non swimmers to provide support if needed

• We teach the ASA / SASA Learn to Swim Framework: Swimmers will receive nationally recognisable qualifications and they will be taught the skills of swimming and not just distances. Our swimmers progression is monitored on a continual, week by week basis, with an individual written report from their instructor on week 11 of the course which is uploaded onto your online account!

• No Waiting Lists: If the course is full then we will add an extra teacher or book more pool time as we understand if you are calling to book onto swimming lessons then you want to do that now – not in 6 months time!

• Olympic Standard: Total Swimming is run by Olympic Medalist Steve Parry, who has designed the programme to give every person an opportunity to blossom and enjoy learning to swim.
