Temporary Pools

Over the last 3 years Total Swimming has been leading a revolution in temporary swimming pool technology in the UK. Our de-mountable steel tank temporary swimming pools have been used to provide innovative solutions to deliver aquatic festivals; two major publicly funded school and community swimming programmes; and by leisure providers to continue swimming provision while their pools are refurbished.

We have a highly experience team that can design fantastic solutions to match your requirements, whether, indoor or outdoor or whatever the season. We are also able to provide a housed pool with a fully heated building, with ventilation and de-humidification, giving you the full turnkey solution.

In August 2010 we delivered a UK first when we supplied a temporary above ground 25m x 10m swimming pool for public use to the Xcel Leisure Centre in Coventry for 12 weeks. This meant that the local leisure provider, Coventry Sports Foundation, could continue its delivery of school, public and private swimming programmes while the existing pool at the site was refurbished, maintaining service provision, and enabling customer retention.

In summer 2011, Total Swimming successfully delivered the British Gas Big Dip summer aquatic festival; this was a UK first and took place on Clapham Common, London for 6 weeks in July and August 2011. The main feature of the festival was the temporary heated swimming pools, this year we used two 12m x 6m 1.2m steel tank demountable pools. This provided the perfect opportunity for 2 different sessions to be delivered at one time, so if you fancied just chilling in one of the 30°C pools while the other pool offered aqua zumba this was possible.

We delivered a further swimming festival, The Big Summer Splash, at the Decathlon store in Surrey Quays, London in July and August 2012. This provided a fantastic customer engagement opportunity for the project's sponsors Decathlon and Speedo. The project led to a highly significant uplift in the retail of swimming related products while the pool was in situ. We are looking to deliver similar projects again in 2013.
